Winter Break Training Camps:

 

High Altitude Wrestling Club has been having Winter Break Training Camps since 2005! This winter will be our 18th year running Winter Break Training Camps.  These camps are a great way to work on fixing any errors, learning new technique, and getting a jump start for the second half of the wrestling season!  The beginners only camp will focus on body awareness, basic wrestling positions, and having fun!


2022 Winter Break Training Camp Dates:

  • Dec. 26th: Takedown Training Camp:
    Session 1: 9:00am – Noon
    Session 2: 1:30-4:30 pm
  • Dec. 27th: Escapes & Reversals Camp:
    Session 1: 9:00am – Noon
    Session 2: 1:30-4:30 pm
  • Dec. 28th:  Tilts & Turns Camp :
    Session 1: 9:00am – Noon
    Session 2: 1:30-4:30 pm
  • Dec. 29th: Slidebys & Secondary Offense Camp:
    9:00am – Noon  (only 1 session) 
  • Dec 30th:  Beginners Only Camp:
    9:00am-11:00am (only 1 session)
  • Dec 31st:  Girls Only Camp! (NEW!!)
    9:00am-Noon (only 1 session)

Camp Info:

  • Location: HAWC Training Facility, 5548 NW 2nd St, Unit 105, Des Moines, IA 50313
  • Parking: There is parking in the front and back of the building!
  • Waiting Room/Lobby: We have a waiting room with 10 comfy chairs, TV with Netflix, complimentary water, popcorn and wifi for those who wish to stay!
  • Cost:  $45 per camp and $30 for Beginners Only Camp!
  • Register:  Pre-Register online or mail in form with payment!    (Checks payable to: High Altitude Wrestling)
  • Grades:  K-12th  (Limited to 50 wrestlers per camp!)

  • Outline:  Technique, drilling, LIVE (situations & wrestling)
  • Cancellation/Refund Policy:  All refunds for camps will be issued in the form of a camp credit towards future HAWC camps.  This camp credit is good for 1 year!  There are NO refunds or camp credit for wrestlers leaving camps early!
  • Parents:  We have a waiting room for those parents wanting to stick around or there are plenty of restaurants and businesses close by!
